Location: Rotherham (S60) – Hybrid with 3 days on site
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
Pay: £450 per day paid weekly via umbrella
Duration: Ongoing Contract – Long Term
To provide professional building surveying expertise across a range of capital and refurbishment projects, delivering surveying, design, contract administration and project management services from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver building surveying services across alteration, refurbishment and construction projects.
- Undertake project management duties on construction and property-related schemes.
- Prepare and review designs, specifications and technical documentation.
- Administer construction contracts and manage contractor performance.
- Provide professional advice on building construction, maintenance and property-related matters.
- Support procurement and tendering activities where required.
- Monitor project costs, programmes and risks.
- Ensure projects comply with statutory, regulatory and health and safety requirements.
- Undertake Principal Designer responsibilities where suitably qualified and appointed.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants and key stakeholders throughout project delivery.
Person Specification
Essential Experience
- Experience as a Building Surveyor within construction, property or asset management environments.
- Experience of refurbishment, alteration and improvement works.
- Contract administration experience.
- Experience of project managing construction-related projects.
- Understanding of building design, construction methods and technical standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Essential Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Building Surveying or a related construction discipline. xgikmsk
