4myschools are proud to be working in partnership with a highly respected specialist education setting in Hertfordshire to recruit an experienced and compassionate Sixth Form SEND Teacher on a permanent, full-time basis. This well-established and purpose-built provision supports learners with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs, delivering a personalised, inclusive pathway-based curriculum centred around communication, independence, life skills and preparation for adulthood.
The setting provides a calm, nurturing and well-resourced environment, with a strong ethos of dignity, respect and enabling every learner to achieve meaningful outcomes beyond the classroom.
As a Sixth Form Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering highly differentiated, post-16 learning programmes tailored to individual EHCP outcomes. You will embed functional learning, life skills and real-world experiences into a structured pathway curriculum, ensuring each learner develops skills that support independence and future transitions.
Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists and families, you will contribute to a holistic approach to education, supporting communication development using a range of strategies and adapting teaching to meet complex sensory, physical and cognitive needs. The role will also involve monitoring progress, maintaining accurate records and supporting transition planning into adulthood.
