Responsibilities
- The successful applicant will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Business Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5), ensuring that all students are motivated and challenged to achieve their full potential.
- You will assess and monitor pupil progress, differentiate lessons to meet a range of abilities including those with special educational needs, and contribute to the development of schemes of work.
- As part of your role, you will foster an inclusive classroom environment, manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies, and actively participate in departmental meetings and wider school initiatives.
- You will also be expected to maintain accurate records of student performance and provide constructive feedback to support academic development.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant experience teaching Business Studies within a secondary school setting.
- Minimum qualification of GCSE grade 4/C in English and Maths.
- Strong classroom management skills, excellent communication and ability to adapt teaching strategies to support students with varying learning needs, including SEN.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm during term time and a commitment to a long‑term placement.
