Job Description

At 4myschools, we are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Bishops Stortford area, seeking a committed and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This inclusive and forward-thinking school prides itself on creating a nurturing environment where pupils feel valued, encouraged, and inspired to achieve their full potential.

With a strong focus on both academic excellence and personal development, the school offers a collaborative atmosphere where staff work closely together to deliver engaging and creative learning experiences.

The successful candidate will support pupils across Key Stage 2, working alongside the class teacher to deliver tailored interventions, provide one-to-one and small group support, and assist with classroom management and preparation of resources.

You will play a key role in supporting children with varying learning needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN), helping to promote confidence, engagement and progress.

Daily duties will include assisting with literacy and numeracy activities, monitoring pupil progress, providing behavioural support where required, and contributing positively to the wider school environment.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a primary school setting, particularly within KS2, and a sound understanding of the national curriculum.

Experience supporting children with SEN, such as ASD, ADHD or speech and language difficulties, would be highly advantageous.

A minimum qualification of GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths is essential.

We are looking for a proactive, patient and adaptable individual who can build strong relationships with pupils and staff alike.

The role requires full availability during term time, working 8:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, and candidates should have reliable transport or easy access to Bishops Stortford.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education and looking to make a real difference in the classroom.
