Are you a caring and committed Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful difference on a one-to-one basis?

At 4myschools, we are working in partnership with a welcoming and values-led Catholic primary school in Norwich, known for its nurturing ethos, strong sense of community, and dedication to supporting every child both academically and pastorally.

The school promotes a caring and inclusive environment where pupils are encouraged to grow in confidence, independence, and respect for others.

We are looking to appoint a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant from September to support a pupil with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) on a full-time, long-term basis (5 days per week).

In this rewarding role, you will provide tailored, individualised support to a specific pupil, helping them to access learning and engage positively with the classroom environment.

Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support staff, you will help implement a personalised support plan, adapt learning materials, and deliver focused interventions aligned to the pupils needs.

You will support both academic progress and emotional wellbeing, using consistent strategies to encourage positive behaviour, independence, and confidence.

Your role will also involve monitoring progress, providing feedback to teaching staff, and creating a safe, supportive space that enables the child to thrive.

The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring the pupil feels included, supported, and motivated throughout the school day.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistant with a strong understanding of supporting pupils with SEND, ideally within a primary school setting.

Experience working on a 1:1 basis or delivering targeted interventions is highly desirable.

You will be patient, resilient, and able to build a positive and trusting relationship with the child, while maintaining high expectations and a calm, consistent approach.

A good working knowledge of the primary curriculum and strategies to support additional needs will be beneficial.

Strong communication skills are essential, as you will liaise with staff and contribute to progress updates.

A minimum of Grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE Maths and English is required.

Candidates must be available Monday to Friday, 8:30am

3:30pm during term time, and have access to reliable transport to travel to the Norwich-based school.

This is a long-term opportunity starting in September, offering consistency and the chance to make a lasting impact on a childs educational journey.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school community where your role will be truly valued and where you can make a real difference every day.
