Workshop Assistant / Trainee Engineering Assistant
4Maintenance Engineering Ltd is an established engineering company specialising in the maintenance, repair, refurbishment and manufacture of equipment used within the airport cargo handling and material handling industries.
We operate from two well-equipped workshops in Virginia Water, Surrey, supporting a wide range of engineering projects for customers across the UK.
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic Workshop Assistant to join our growing team.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on position supporting our engineers and fabricators with the day-to-day running of our workshops.
The successful candidate will assist with workshop activities, preparation of materials, equipment refurbishment and general maintenance tasks.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, has a positive attitude and is keen to develop their skills within an engineering environment.
Skills and ExperienceEssential:
- A practical, hands-on approach to work.
- Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to undertake a variety of tasks.
- An understanding of workplace health and safety.
Desirable but Not Essential:
- Previous experience in an engineering, manufacturing or workshop environment.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
- Experience in mechanical assembly, fabrication or equipment refurbishment.
- Full UK driving licence.
