Our client is currently looking to recruit a Structural Engineer on a permanent basis. We are seeking an experienced Chartered Structural Engineer to join our Stafford-based Design Consultancy team. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a key technical role within a multi-disciplinary environment that brings together architectural, surveying, engineering and specialist building services expertise.
You will be part of a dynamic in-house practice delivering high-quality design solutions, technical leadership and structural engineering excellence across a wide range of building and property-related projects. Our Design Group is central to ensuring the delivery of robust, efficient and innovative design work, supported by strong professional standards and collaborative teamworking.
Duties:
- Lead and deliver high-quality structural engineering design work from project inception through to completion.
- Contribute to the development of engineering standards, design approaches and internal policies.
- Ensure structural elements of projects are delivered within agreed timescales and budgets.
- Promote and support best-practice design and construction standards, with a focus on safety, long-term performance and value.
- Prepare and review detailed structural engineering drawings to a high standard.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation including the Health & Safety at Work Act, Asbestos Regulations, COSHH and CDM.
Requirements:
- Chartered Structural Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of structural engineering within building construction.
- Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) and engineering detailing.
- Solid awareness of construction-related safety legislation and design responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
