Our client is currently looking to recruit a SEND Assessment Co-ordinator on an initial 6 month contract, working predominantly from home.
We are looking for a compassionate, organised and motivated SEND Assessment Co-ordinator to join our Education & Skills team. In this pivotal role, you will be the key contact for children and young people aged 0-25 with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND), and their families. You will be coordinating the Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan process, ensuring needs are met with joined-up, person-centred support across education, health and social care.
What you’ll be doing:
- Coordinating EHC needs assessments and annual reviews, working closely with families and professionals.
- Drafting and finalising EHC Plans in line with the SEND Code of Practice and legal timeframes.
- Promoting multi-agency partnership working to deliver holistic, outcome-focused support.
- Supporting inclusive education placements and creative planning for individual learning needs.
- Managing a complex caseload, making informed decisions and communicating them with clarity and compassion.
- Ensuring all processes are fully compliant with legal and safeguarding requirements.

- A strong understanding of SEND legislation (Children and Families Act 2014, SEND Code of Practice).
- Experience of working with children, young people, and families in an education or care setting.
