We are currently recruiting for a Software Engineer to join their busy client who is rapidly expanding on a remote home working basis. The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.

Your main role will be to develop software/applications for this market leading software provider. The main purpose of this role is to:

  • Develop software applications using C++ as the main language
  • Complete unit testing to ensure the software performs as per the design
  • Use JIRA to report on faults

The ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • 4+ years software engineering experience
  • Coding experience in C++
  • Strong technical background in Linux based environments
  • Software Development / Software Engineering and unit testing
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Working in an Agile based environment highly desirable
  • Object Orientated Principles and Design patterns
  • Experience with other object orientated programming languages would also be highly desirable
  • Any experience with Java and Shell Scripting would also be highly desirable
  • Ideally First Class BSc degree in a related field
