We are currently recruiting for a Software Engineer to join their busy client who is rapidly expanding on a remote home working basis. The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.
Your main role will be to develop software/applications for this market leading software provider. The main purpose of this role is to:
- Develop software applications using C++ as the main language
- Complete unit testing to ensure the software performs as per the design
- Use JIRA to report on faults
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience and attributes:
- 4+ years software engineering experience
- Coding experience in C++
- Strong technical background in Linux based environments
- Software Development / Software Engineering and unit testing
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Working in an Agile based environment highly desirable
- Object Orientated Principles and Design patterns
- Experience with other object orientated programming languages would also be highly desirable
- Any experience with Java and Shell Scripting would also be highly desirable
- Ideally First Class BSc degree in a related field
In return the client is offering a competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000 plus:
