We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager (Highways & Transportation) on a 3 month contract (with potential extension).
Location: Remote with on-site presence on the Isle of Wight as required.
Purpose of the Role
To lead and manage the commercial functions of the Highways PFI contract, ensuring contract compliance, performance monitoring, and strategic collaboration with contractors and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee commercial operations and contract administration, ensuring accurate and auditable processes.
- Lead a team managing statutory and contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with Island Roads and the local council to meet performance standards and response times.
- Provide commercial leadership as part of the Senior Contract Management Team (SCMT).
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Review and scrutinise contractual change events and issue contractual notices.
- Monitor planned investments against financial models and challenge forecasts against infrastructure needs.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Commercial Manager within the Public Sector, ideally with experience overseeing a similar contract. Please apply today for immediate consideration.
