We are currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Officer on a permanent basis for a leading company that manufactures and builds energy power generation and battery storage solutions.

You will assist with all safety, health, and environmental matters within the region, ensuring adherence to current legislation and internal policies. You will assist in conducting risk assessments and identifying ways to reduce risk, as well as assisting with the maintenance of the ISO Integrated Management System.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Experienced Health and Safety Officer within the UK construction and/or mechanical/electrical engineering industry
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety and/or NEBOSH Health & Safety Management for Construction (UK) H&S
  • Ideally Level 3 Certificate in Environmental Management or equivalent, however not essential
  • Knowledge of CDM and ideally LOLER, PUWER, Electricity at Work Act and Gas Safety Regulations
  • Knowledge/experience of ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001
  • Full current UK Driving Licence required to fulfil duties of the role, to include travel across UK sites

Other Key Information:

  • Hours of Work: Monday – Thursday, 8:30am – 5:00pm & Friday, 8.30am - 4.00pm.
  • Salary: £40,000-£45,000 depending on experience with an increase after successful probation
  • Hybrid following successful probation with the 60:40 split office/home
  • Office is based in Stockport
