We are currently recruiting for a Field Operations Engineer on a permanent basis to work for a business that provides low carbon and cost effective power generation and battery storage solutions to customers across the UK. We are seeking a candidate who is based in the Cardiff or South Wales region to service customers.
No experience in the power generation sector is required for this role although it would be beneficial. We are seeking candidates who have past experience maintaining and repairing engines (gas or diesel based) as you will complete scheduled and reactive maintenance ensuring systems run smoothly and installations are operating effectively.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- At a minimum, an ONC, NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering and/or motor vehicle studies/mechanic
- Time-served technician, preferably with a minimum of 3 years’ industrial mechanical/electrical experience
- Considerable skills and in-depth knowledge of engines or combined heat power plants (CHP)
- A full, valid driving licence
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 8.00 am - 4.30 pm plus generous overtime.
