We are currently recruiting for a Compliance Engineer to join a busy engineering/manufacturing business.

In this role, you will lead compliance activities ensuring alignment with key regulations and standards including the Machinery Regulation, and relevant EN/IEC standards. Working closely with engineering, quality, and leadership teams, you will embed compliance throughout the product lifecycle, maintain audit-ready documentation, conduct gap analyses, and support the development of robust, compliant design practices.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in compliance, regulatory, or standards-focused engineering roles.
  • Strong understanding of industrial product compliance, safety, regulatory, or cyber security requirements.
  • Experience interpreting and applying regulations and standards in a practical engineering environment.
  • Excellent documentation, audit preparation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Any experience in the below would be highly desirable:

  • Experience with the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), Machinery Regulation, and EN/IEC standards.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Exposure to regulated sectors such as defence, aerospace, or similar industries.
