Our client is currently looking to recruit a Solutions Design Engineer on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working collaboratively, and developing innovative technical solutions.
The Role
Working as part of our Solutions team, you will support the development of automated and integrated system designs for customer projects. You’ll collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to help create practical, efficient, and commercially viable solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the development of technical solutions and project concepts
- Analysing customer requirements and operational data
- Assisting with system layouts, modelling, and design work
- Producing technical proposal and support documentation
- Working closely with Engineering, Solutions, and Business Development teams
- Liaising with suppliers and external partners
- Participating in customer meetings and project discussions
- Ensuring designs align with company and industry standards
About You
We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn and develop. You may have:
- An engineering qualification or relevant industry experience
- Experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar
- An interest in automation, logistics, manufacturing, or material handling systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
