Our client is currently looking to recruit a Head of IT on a permanent basis. This is more than just an IT leadership role. It’s your chance to define, shape and deliver the technology strategy for an organisation determined to be the best in their sector.
You’ll take full ownership of the IT landscape, overseeing infrastructure, data, WiFi, hardware and security, while driving innovation and best practice across the business. With a high degree of autonomy, you’ll play a pivotal role in transforming the IT estate and ensuring systems truly support the people who rely on them.
Key duties:
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of IT services across the organisation
- Defining and executing a forward-thinking IT strategy
- Improving and modernising infrastructure and systems
- Managing third-party vendors and exploring opportunities to bring services in-house
- Overseeing IT budgets, licensing and expenditure—ensuring value for money
- Implementing best practices, processes and governance (including ISO27001 alignment)
- Driving complex IT projects from planning through to delivery
- Ensuring audit readiness and compliance across all IT operations
- Building strong relationships across the organisation with empathy and leadership
Essential:
- Proven experience delivering impactful IT transformation and best practices
- Strong understanding of business operations and IT alignment
- Experience managing IT budgets, contracts, SLAs and vendors
- Track record of creating and delivering IT strategy
- Expertise across infrastructure, applications and complex project delivery
- Experience with third-party vendor management and procurement
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO27001)
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
