The Role
As a Stores Operative/Van Driver, you’ll play a vital part in keeping our projects running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for managing warehouse stock and ensuring materials reach our site teams safely and on time.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Receiving, checking, and securely storing incoming deliveries
- Picking, packing, and dispatching materials accurately and efficiently
- Maintaining accurate stock records and carrying out regular stock checks
- Loading and unloading flooring materials, tools, and consumables
- Delivering materials to site operatives across the UK
- Collecting surplus materials from completed projects
- Returning, checking, and updating inventories for all goods received
- Supporting safe warehouse organisation and housekeeping
- Collecting goods from suppliers when required
- Completing portable appliance testing (PAT) of electrical equipment
- Complying with all health and safety procedures at all times
About You
We’re looking for someone practical, dependable, and safety-focused who takes pride in their work.
You will ideally have:
- Previous warehouse or delivery experience
- A full, clean UK driving licence (able to drive LWB/transit vans)
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Experience or understanding of stock control systems
- The ability to lift and handle heavy materials safely
- A methodical and detail-focused approach
Desirable (but not essential):
- PAT testing certification
- Manual handling training
