We are recruiting for an experienced Health Club Manager in Reading to lead a premium fitness facility operated by a 5-star luxury leisure management company. This is an excellent opportunity for a Gym Manager, Fitness Manager, or Health Club Manager looking to progress their career within a high-end leisure environment.
As Gym Manager, you will ensure the facility delivers an exceptional five-star fitness and wellness experience for members. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing daily gym operations, including scheduling and service delivery
- Leading, motivating, and developing a fitness and personal training team
- Delivering exceptional customer service and member experience
- Managing site performance and delivery
- Ensuring health & safety compliance, including gym equipment and swimming pool safety
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and equipment maintenance
- Monitoring financial performance and operational procedures
Skills & Experience Required
To be successful in this Gym Manager job in Reading, you should have:
- Proven experience as a Gym Manager, Fitness Manager, Health Club Manager, or Leisure Manager
- Experience managing a private gym, health club, luxury leisure facility, or wellness centre
- Strong understanding of premium customer service standards
- Ability to build relationships with members, residents, and corporate clients
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of gym health & safety regulations and compliance procedures
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Desirable Qualifications:
- Level 2 Fitness Instructor (minimum requirement)
- First Aid Qualification
- Background in fitness, leisure, or wellbeing management
Salary & Benefits:
Salary: Up to £33,800 per year
Additional earnings: Group Exercise and Personal Training Commission
