We are recruiting an experienced and driven General Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of a large, community-focused leisure centre in Oxford. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role within a live operational environment, offering full accountability for health & safety, compliance, service delivery, team leadership, and commercial performance against contractual KPIs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of health & safety, compliance, and safeguarding across the site
  • Deliver operational performance in line with contractual requirements and KPIs
  • Manage internal and external audits and quality assurance processes
  • Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, working closely with technical teams
  • Lead, motivate, and develop high-performing operational teams
  • Act as Manager on Duty, ensuring an exceptional customer experience at all times
About You
  • Proven experience leading teams within a leisure, facilities, or service-led environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
  • Customer-focused, highly organised, and commercially aware
  • Confident communicator with strong leadership and reporting skills
  • First Aid at Work qualification (or willingness to obtain)
  • This role may be subject to a DBS check in line with policy
