This is a fantastic opportunity for a General Manager or Centre Manager to take responsibility for this multi-million pound leisure centre business in North London. This is a high profile centre with a number of community services within the centre and as such a composed, balanced and confident communicator is required.

As a General Manager within this multi-faceted leisure complex you will drive the profitability of the business beyond budget with focus on growth in membership, swim school and activity programming. Providing exceptional customer service and delivering a wide range of KPI’s whilst ensuring operational efficiencies is the expectation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop the centre’s revenue streams, to ensure optimum performance against budget
  • Achieve financial net gain targets through close management of the Sales & Membership and Swim School Departments
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships within the local business community.
  • Recruit, Develop and Lead a team of Heads of Departments
  • Set and monitor clear goals and performance expectations for the HOD team.
  • Provide business plans for new capital expenditure projects
  • Manage daily operations across the centre.
  • Communicate daily and weekly targets and facilitate their achievement through the HOD team.
  • Monitor all costs to maximise efficiency. In particular payroll costs to be managed within budget while ensuring adequate cover of all business areas.
  • Proactively manage and be responsible for all Hygiene, Maintenance and Health and Safety issues, ensuring a safe environment for employees and members.

In summary, we are searching for a candidate with strengths in people management, communications, stakeholder management, sales and marketing, and budgetary control. You will be able to motivate individuals through understanding their personal make up and career objectives. A manager with charisma, drive and confidence is needed for this role. First Aid, Pool Plant and Lifeguard Qualifications required.
