Sales Consultant – Premium Health Club
Watford | £28,000–£30,000 basic + commission | OTE c. £40-£45K
We’re recruiting for a Sales Consultant to join a premium health club in Watford, offering members an exceptional environment to invest in their health, fitness and wellbeing.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, commercially minded salesperson who understands that selling a health club membership is about much more than the facilities. It’s about understanding people’s motivations and helping them see the value of investing in themselves.
You’ll play a key role in growing the club’s membership, managing prospective members through the sales journey and delivering an engaging, personalised experience from the first enquiry through to sign-up.
Key responsibilities
- Manage inbound sales enquiries across phone, email and other channels, responding promptly and converting interest into appointments and membership sales.
- Conduct engaging, tailored sales tours that showcase the club’s facilities, services and wider membership experience.
- Understand prospective members’ needs, goals, motivations and budget, recommending the most suitable membership options.
- Proactively follow up enquiries, outstanding leads and prospective members to maximise conversion opportunities.
- Work towards individual sales targets and contribute to the overall commercial success of the club.
- Maintain accurate prospect records, sales activity and pipeline updates using the club’s CRM or membership systems.
- Work closely with the wider club team to deliver a seamless experience and ensure the promises made during the sales process reflect the service members receive.
Previous experience sales, health clubs, leisure, hospitality or another consultative sales environment would be advantageous. A proven ability to sell, build relationships and deliver results is more important than having a specific industry background.
The opportunity
- Basic salary: £28,000–£30,000
- Commission: circa £12,000–£15,000
- Earning potential: approximately £40,000–£45,000 OTE, depending on commission achieved
- Location: Watford, Hertfordshire
- Working pattern:Limited evenings and weekends
