We’re looking for a hands-on Retail / Shop Manager who thrives in a busy, customer-facing environment for a well-established, award-winning food producer and retailer based in the Berkshire countryside. You’ll combine strong commercial acumen with the ability to inspire a team and deliver exceptional results both in-store and online.
As Retail Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering an outstanding customer experience in-store and online. You must be experienced at hands-on in-store management. Your goal will be to drive sales growth, streamline processes, and inspire a high-performing team that delivers excellence across every touchpoint.
Key Responsibilities- Lead day-to-day shop and online operations, driving sales and profitability.
- Motivate and develop the team, creating a strong “one shop” culture.
- Oversee buying, stock control, and supplier relationships.
- Manage eCommerce activity, ensuring accurate listings and smooth order fulfilment.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, compliance, and customer care.
- Champion a customer-first approach across all areas of the business.
Essential skills & experience:
- Proven retail or hospitality management experience (food preferred).
- Level 3 Food Safety Certification (or willingness to achieve).
- Experience managing eCommerce operations (Shopify or similar platform).
- Strong understanding of stock management, supplier negotiation, and P&L accountability.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Competitive base salary.
