A rare and exciting opportunity is now available for a Leisure and Activities Manager for a fantastic holiday park in Berwick-upon-Tweed! If you are working in swimming pool management, leisure or activities and have a passion for developing customer experience, this is an opportunity you don’t want to miss!

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of an energetic Activities & Leisure team, leading with clear direction and ample motivation. You’ll inspire your team to hit their goals, maintaining high standards and supporting their growth through feedback and coaching. Managing resources such as budgets and tools will be key to keeping operations running smoothly. You’ll also drive exceptional guest experiences, continuously improving interactions and troubleshooting any issues that arise, while ensuring everything stays safe, compliant, and aligned with company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and support the team to deliver excellent service and achieve targets.
  • Ensure top-tier guest satisfaction by addressing concerns, improving service, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Monitor individual and team performance, providing regular feedback, coaching, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Oversee team scheduling, budgets, and resources to maximize efficiency and meet business needs.
  • Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations, company policies, and standards.
  • Quickly resolve operational issues, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day running.
  • Support team development through ongoing training, mentoring, and creating growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Swimming Pool Manager, Activities & Leisure Manager, or similar leadership position in Sports, Leisure or Hospitality.
  • Experience with or knowledge of PPO and SPTO certification (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Exceptional customer service and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Experience in budgeting and financial management.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
