Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: Bradford (Mostly Remote – Ad-hoc travel to London or Manchester, expenses covered)
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Overview:
We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Network Engineer to join a growing IT infrastructure team. This is a mostly remote position, with occasional travel to offices in London or Manchester (fully expensed). The role offers a great opportunity to work with a mix of enterprise technologies in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust network infrastructure across multiple sites
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and ensure high availability
- Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
- Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to support project delivery
- Document network designs, processes, and procedures
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience with Cisco Routing & Switching
- Working knowledge of F5 load balancers
- Experience with Checkpoint firewalls or similar technologies (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet)
- Familiarity with Zscaler or other cloud-based security solutions
- Knowledge of Juniper (or similar) network technologies
- Solid understanding of networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs)
Desirable:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, Checkpoint CCSA/CCSE)
- Experience working in on-prem environments
- Exposure to network automation tools is a plus
