An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Education Lead to join a specialist outdoor learning provision supporting children and young people with SEND. Based within a unique outdoor education setting in Canterbury, this role focuses on leading high-quality teaching and learning across an engaging and inclusive environment. You'll work closely with tutors, families, schools and local authorities to ensure learners receive personalised, outcome-focused education tailored to their individual needs. The Role
- Supporting and quality assuring teaching and learning across the provision
- Promoting inclusive practice for learners with SEND and EHCPs
- Monitoring learner progress, engagement and outcomes
- Supporting tutor development through observations and feedback
- Working collaboratively with families, schools and external agencies
- Contributing to service development and continuous improvement
About You
- Experience working with children and young people with SEND
- Strong understanding of EHCPs and the SEND Code of Practice
- Experience within education, tuition, alternative provision or outdoor learning
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, organised and learner-focused approach
- A recognised teaching qualification or SEND-related training would be advantageous
