An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Education Lead to join a specialist outdoor learning provision supporting children and young people with SEND. Based within a unique outdoor education setting in Canterbury, this role focuses on leading high-quality teaching and learning across an engaging and inclusive environment. You will work closely with tutors, families, schools and local authorities to ensure learners receive personalised, outcome-focused education tailored to their individual needs.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong SEND experience who is passionate about alternative and outdoor learning approaches.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting and quality assuring teaching and learning across the provision
  • Promoting inclusive practice for learners with SEND and EHCPs
  • Monitoring learner progress, engagement and outcomes
  • Supporting tutor development through observations and feedback
  • Working collaboratively with families, schools and external agencies
  • Contributing to service development and continuous improvement
About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Experience working with children and young people with SEND
  • Strong understanding of EHCPs and the SEND Code of Practice
  • Experience within education, tuition, alternative provision or outdoor learning
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, organised and learner-focused approach
  • A recognised teaching qualification or SEND-related training would be advantageous
