An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Education Lead to join a specialist outdoor learning provision supporting children and young people with SEND. Based within a unique outdoor education setting in Canterbury, this role focuses on leading high-quality teaching and learning across an engaging and inclusive environment.

You will work closely with tutors, families, schools and local authorities to ensure learners receive personalised, outcome-focused education tailored to their individual needs. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong SEND experience who is passionate about alternative and outdoor learning approaches.

The Role

  • Supporting and quality assuring teaching and learning across the provision
  • Promoting inclusive practice for learners with SEND and EHCPs
  • Monitoring learner progress, engagement and outcomes
  • Supporting tutor development through observations and feedback
  • Working collaboratively with families, schools and external agencies
  • Contributing to service development and continuous improvement

About You

  • Experience working with children and young people with SEND
  • Strong understanding of EHCPs and the SEND Code of Practice
  • Experience within education, tuition, alternative provision or outdoor learning
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, organised and learner-focused approach
  • A recognised teaching qualification or SEND-related training would be advantageous
