Measured Building Surveying CAD Technician – Weymouth, Dorset – Full-Time. Office Based / Remote.
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 2D drawings for surveys, plans, sections, and specifications using AutoCAD.
- Interpret survey data and convert it into clear, precise technical drawings.
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant standards, regulations, and internal quality processes.
- Maintain organised drawing records and documentation.
- Collaborate with surveyors and project teams to deliver work to deadline and to our high company standard.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a CAD Technician within building surveying, architecture or general building design.
- Strong proficiency in 2D AutoCAD.
- Good understanding of building construction and surveying terminology.
- Ability to translate real-world building layouts into accurate 2D drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
- Confident communicator and ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Understanding of topographical surveying.
- Experience with planning applications or the planning process.
- Familiarity with BIM or 3D modelling software.
- Knowledge of UK building regulations and standards.
- Relevant CAD or technical qualifications.
