Solicitor or Equivalent (Clinical Negligence Grade A – Newcastle)
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Solicitor you will handle complex cases from start to finish, provide proactive commercial case management and build strong relationships with clients, medical experts and stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
- Provide support, guidance and assistance to the team to deliver outstanding service to customers
- Proactive and commercial case management and progression
- Support the Team Leader in ensuring delivery of the team’s financial performance KPIs
- Effective and thorough time recording
Key Accountable Tasks
- Discuss case tactics and planning with the Team Leader and team members
- Identify cases ready for LOC, settlement and service within the team
- Work with the team to collect and collate relevant information to enable progression of the case
- Manage a caseload in a proactive commercial manner
- Coordinate progression of cases with all internal and external parties
- Draft legal documentation including LOC, letters of instruction
- Negotiate settlement and issue and service proceedings if required
- Oversee documentation and correspondence produced by the team
- Advise the team on any technical issues arising
Essential Skills And Experience
- Recent experience of handling a case load
- 8 years+ PQE or equivalent experience working in Clinical Negligence
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and drafting skills
- Excellent IT skills, especially Microsoft Office packages, Proclaim and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong commercial awareness within a legal environment
- Ability to work well with junior team members, providing coaching and mentoring
- Flexible and willing to commit to achieving results and meeting deadlines
- Excellent Client Care Skills
