Fletchers Group have a fantastic opportunity to join our growing People Team. The purpose of this role is to provide practical, legally compliant HR advice and support across the business, with a particular focus on managing employee relations cases. The role will support HR Business Partners and the Head of HR in delivering effective people solutions, advise managers on HR policies and employment law, and ensure HR processes and administration are delivered accurately and efficiently.

Main Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations: Manage a varied caseload of employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, absence management, and low‑level capability cases. Provide clear, pragmatic and legally compliant advice to managers on employment law, HR policies and best practice. Support and, where appropriate, lead formal meetings, including disciplinary and grievance hearings, ensuring fair process and accurate documentation. Prepare outcome letters, investigation reports and related correspondence.
- Business Partner Support: Work closely with HR Business Partners and the Head of HR to support strategic and operational HR initiatives.
- HR Administration and Process: Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with GDPR and internal data protection standards. Produce contracts of employment, variations, confirmation letters and other HR documentation. Support HR processes such as onboarding, probation management and leavers. Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures and templates.
- Compliance and Best Practice: Ensure all HR activity aligns with UK employment law, SRA expectations where relevant, and firm policies. Support audits and reporting requirements, including management information on employee relations trends. Keep up to date with changes in employment legislation and HR best practice.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in an HR Advisor or similar role, ideally within a professional services or legal environment.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations best practice.
- Experience managing employee relations cases from start to finish.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, professional correspondence.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with discretion.
Desirable:
- Experience working in a law firm or regulated professional services environment.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards).
- Experience supporting HR Business Partners in a matrixed organisation.
