Join 4COM (4Communication B.V) as a Clinical Negligence Solicitor. This role offers a hybrid working model with flexibility to work from home and collaborate in office when needed.

About the Role

As a senior solicitor you will enjoy a high level of autonomy, handling complex clinical negligence cases from start to finish. You will correspond regularly with clients, medical experts, and other stakeholders to provide clear, informed guidance and maintain strong, supportive relationships.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide support, guidance and assistance to the team to deliver outstanding service to customers
  • Manage cases proactively and commercially, ensuring timely progression
  • Support the Team Leader in meeting the team’s financial performance KPIs
  • Maintain accurate time recording and case management documentation

Other Responsibilities

  • Discuss and agree case tactics and plans with the Team Leader and team members
  • Identify cases ready for LOC, settlement and service within the team
  • Collect and collate relevant information to support case progression
  • Coordinate the progression of cases with all internal and external parties
  • Draft legal documentation including LOC and letters of instruction
  • Negotiate settlement and issue and service proceedings if required
  • Oversee the documentation and correspondence produced by the team
  • Provide technical advice to the team on any arising issues

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Recent experience handling a caseload
  • 8+ years PQE or equivalent experience in Clinical Negligence
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills
  • Excellent communication and drafting skills
  • Strong IT skills, especially Microsoft Office, Proclaim and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Commercial awareness within a legal environment
  • Ability to coach and mentor junior team members
  • Flexibility and commitment to meeting deadlines
  • Excellent client‑care skills
