4C Strategies is an independent IT consultancy with a strong reputation across the UK public sector. As demand for cyber security advice continues to grow, we are looking to appoint a Cyber Security Lead to drive and expand our Cyber Security services across public and private sector clients.
Summary
4C already provides Cyber Security advisory services and is currently an NCSC Assured Service Provider (Cyber Advisor), with ambitions to become an NCSC Cyber Resilience Audit (CRA) provider. This role will play a key part in strengthening our market position, increasing client uptake, and expanding our cyber footprint.
The Role
This is a senior, commercially driven leadership role, suited to a candidate with a track record of winning new business, developing client relationships and growing cyber service lines. The Cyber Security Lead will:
- Lead and evolve 4C’s Cyber Security advisory offering
- Own the cyber strategy, service roadmap and commercial plan
- Drive sales, pipeline ownership and development, and market visibility
- Act as a senior cyber advisor to clients and internal stakeholders
- Be familiar with public sector frameworks, routes to market and The Procurement Act 2023
Key Responsibilities
- Define and refine the Cyber Security services offered by 4C
- Own the cyber strategy, roadmap and business plan
- Define and manage routes to market and framework bids and responses
- Ensure services align with NCSC guidance and market expectations
- Act as the senior authority for cyber matters within 4C
- Support progression towards NCSC Cyber Resilience Audit (CRA) provider status
Client Advisory & Delivery
- Lead and deliver cyber engagements including NCSC CAF and Cyber Essentials assessments
- Develop cyber security strategies, roadmaps and improvement plans
- Provide trusted cyber advice to senior leaders and boards
- Translate cyber risk into clear, pragmatic, business-focused guidance
- Lead executive briefings, workshops and assurance activities
- Be accountable for growing the Cyber Security pipeline and revenue
- Identify, qualify and pursue new opportunities across public and private sectors
- Actively network and represent 4C in the market, being comfortable with public speaking
- Work with the marketing team to shape and deliver cyber campaigns
- Lead cyber elements of bids, proposals and client presentations
- Build 4C’s reputation as a trusted Cyber Security Advisor
- Mentor consultants contributing to cyber delivery
- Define repeatable delivery approaches and high-quality outputs
- Support internal capability development as the service grows
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in cyber security advisory and consulting
- Proven delivery of cyber services for public sector clients
- Demonstrable ability to win work and actively grow pipeline
- Comfortable operating at board and delivery level
- Certification commensurate with level of experience, e.g. UK CSC Principal or Chartered, (Audit and Assurance), CIISec Full Member or Fellow
- In-depth knowledge of NCSC CAF, Cyber Essentials, cyber governance and adjacent standards such as NIST CSF, ISO27001 and DSPT.
