We are currently supporting our client in the recruitment of a Senior Project Manager on a 6 Month fixed-term basis, to play a key role in a major IT Transformation Programme across the East Midlands. This position will support the delivery of a large-scale transformation, focused on establishing a future operating model for IT services across multiple sites.
The Role
You will be responsible for leading complex programme activity, ensuring effective planning, governance, dependency management, and coordination across multiple workstreams, suppliers, and stakeholders. This is a high-impact role, requiring someone who can operate at pace within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading delivery across core transformation workstreams
- Driving programme governance, reporting, and controls
- Managing dependencies across technical, operational, and commercial areas
- Engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across the organisation
- Identifying and mitigating programme risks and challenges
- Supporting mobilisation and transition of transformation initiatives
The successful candidate will also support the development and mobilisation of the programme, ensuring alignment across technical, operational, and commercial requirements to enable a successful route to market and seamless service transition.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience delivering complex IT/digital transformation programmes
- Experience of working with Insourcing and Outsourcing operating models
- Experience of working within a public sector organisation
- Strong track record operating across multi-stakeholder, multi-supplier environments
- Ability to lead in fast-paced, high-profile programmes
- Excellent governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong understanding of complex organisational structures and environments
Qualifications:
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience
- PRINCE2, MSP, Agile or equivalent
