We are supporting our Public Sector client in the recruitment of a Business Analyst on a 6 month fixed term contract to play a key role in a major IT Transformation Programme. This role will focus on analysing the current IT landscape and supporting the development of a future operating model, helping shape a clear roadmap for service transformation and potential outsourcing.

The Role

You will work across technical and operational teams to gather, analyse, and structure complex information, translating it into clear, actionable outputs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Analyse current IT services, infrastructure, and operating models
  • Support development of future-state solutions and service requirements
  • Create clear documentation to support procurement and delivery activity
  • Develop roadmaps, process maps, and service models
  • Engage stakeholders and facilitate workshops across teams
  • Identify risks, gaps, and dependencies across the programme

What We're Looking For

  • Experience as a Business Analyst within IT or digital transformation programmes
  • Experience of working with Insourcing and Outsourcing operating models
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, and service environments
  • Experience of working within public sector organisations.
  • Proven ability to gather and document complex requirements
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholders and delivery partners
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to operate at pace in a complex programme environment

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent, BA certification (BCS, Agile BA or similar)

Desirable

  • Experience supporting IT outsourcing or managed services programmes
  • Exposure to service consolidation or operating model transformation
