We are currently recruiting for an SC cleared Delivery manager for a fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate discovery activities with suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring each requirement is clearly defined, appropriately scoped, documented, and supported by a robust supplier proposal for review and approval.
Partner with the Product Manager to support budget management activities, maintaining oversight of actual and committed expenditure against agreed budgets.
Manage the end-to-end review of supplier proposals, gathering and consolidating stakeholder feedback, ensuring proposals are refined where required, and progressing them through governance, approval, procurement, and delivery processes.
Coordinate delivery during the build phase, working closely with suppliers and business stakeholders to prioritise work, manage dependencies, clarify requirements, and ensure delivery timelines remain on track.
Plan and oversee releases into test environments, balancing business priorities with available testing capacity.
Coordinate business testing activities, capture and track feedback, and ensure issues are addressed before solutions are approved for production release.
Manage live service implementations, engaging stakeholders and user communities to agree deployment schedules, confirming required access and permissions are in place, and gathering post-release feedback to support continuous improvement.
Maintain and communicate a service development roadmap, aligned to agreed priorities, delivery dependencies, budget constraints, and target timelines.
Where appropriate, coordinate development activities into delivery phases and ensure purchase orders are raised and managed in accordance with organisational processes.
Produce clear and concise delivery reporting, providing visibility of discovery outcomes, proposal status, development progress, testing readiness, release plans, budget performance, risks, issues, dependencies, and key decisions requiring attention.
Skills and Experience Demonstrable experience applying Agile, Lean, or other suitable delivery methodologies to drive structured, transparent, and value-focused delivery.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across technical and non-technical audiences, including business users, service teams, senior stakeholders, and third-party suppliers.
Proven experience managing technology products or services through the full delivery lifecycle, including discovery, design, build, test, release, and live service support.
Ability to identify and remove delivery blockers, manage dependencies, and facilitate timely decision-making to maintain progress and delivery momentum.
Experience of supplier and commercial management within technology delivery environments, including working with contracted suppliers and navigating procurement and governance processes.
Strong financial awareness, with experience supporting budget management through cost tracking, forecasting, approvals, purchase order management, and spend reporting.
Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.
Strong analytical and reporting capability, able to provide clear insights into delivery performance, risks, and financial position to support effective decision-making.
