4C Executive Placement, a leading executive search agency based in Northern Ireland, is partnering with a long-established textile business with over 140 years of history as they seek to appoint a Procurement Manager who will play a pivotal role in vendor selection, contract negotiations, and supply chain advancements to align with the company's current and future business needs, optimising the business financial position and supporting the maintenance and development of a robust supply chain.

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain & Quality Control, the Procurement Manager will work in close partnership with buying teams across the business in order to develop and execute strategic procurement plans that align with business objectives and customer expectations.

The successful candidate will also identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors to ensure the best service and value for the business, continuously reviewing and optimising procurement processes to enhance cost efficiency and vendor performance.

The role holder will have strong communication skills and robust commercial acumen, as well as:

  • Proven experience of designing and implementing comprehensive procurement strategies which includes sourcing, supplier management (onboarding and offboarding) and delivers procurement best practices.
  • Demonstrable successful experience of managing a geographically dispersed supplier network coupled with proven experience of leading market analysis and identifying emerging opportunities.
  • Demonstrable successful experience of managing supplier contracts, leading negotiations and renegotiations which will protect margins and deliver profitability.
  • Experience working with procurement and supply chain systems, analysing key data in order to identify and implement efficiencies across procurement processes, reducing costs and improving vendor performance.
