4C are representing a multi-national retailer, food business and household name across Ireland in the appointment of a Commercial Director to their Northern Ireland leadership team. This organisation is at the forefront of its sector, driving quality, value and innovation for customers and an inclusive and progressive culture for its employees.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Commercial Director will design and implement with the Trading Team a comprehensive commercial strategy that ensures timely sourcing and supply of an optimal product offering at competitive prices, exceeding customer expectations and delivering targeted price positioning and margins.
A key appointment for this multi-national business, the Commercial Director will be a strategic thinker, an individual with strong customer insights, willing to engage internally and listen to the voice of customers and innovate to deliver results.
Additionally, the successful candidate will have:
- At least five years in a senior commercial management role with a focus on Trading within retail or wholesale, coupled with a proven track record in delivering commercial strategies and positive results.
- Strong leadership and people management experience, including succession planning and talent development.
- Expertise in brand development, organisational change, and progressive retail practice.
- Third-level qualification or equivalent experience.
- Whilst experience within food or grocery is highly desirable, it is not essential.
