This is a genuine opportunity to shape the future of a growing business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Finance Director will be a visible, energetic, board-level partner. They will lead and develop the finance team across multiple sites, modernise systems and processes, drive cost and margin improvement, and take ownership of the companys governance, audit, treasury, legal, insurance and banking remits. In addition, the successful candidate will have the below skills and experience: Essential Criteria Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA). Significant senior finance leadership experience, ideally within a fast-paced, multi-entity commercial enterprise, with responsibility for developing and implementing financial strategy which delivers sustainable, profitable growth. Demonstrable experience leading, developing, and managing multi-site, multi-disciplinary finance teams, instilling a culture of continuous improvement and development. Demonstrable experience of partnering with Boards and/or Managing Directors, providing financial insight to influence strategy and decision-making. Excellent commercial acumen, with clear ability to analyse margins, costs and capital allocation and drive performance improvement. Experience of managing external relationships such as auditors, banks, tax advisors, insurers, and regulators. Demonstrable success in modernising financial systems, processes and ways of working. Desirable Criteria Demonstrable sector experience within international freight forwarding, road transport, supply chain logistics, or contract warehousing/distribution. Demonstrable experience managing end-to-end post-acquisition finance integration.
