4C Executive Placement are proud to partner with the Lyric Theatre in the appointment of a Head of Finance and Governance, a pivotal role focused on strengthening financial, commercial and operational performance to support long-term sustainability. The Lyric is one of Northern Ireland’s leading cultural organisations, delivering high-quality theatre, creative learning and community engagement.
The Head of Finance and Governance will play a central role in developing the financial planning, governance and organisational systems that enable effective delivery across all activities. As a key strategic partner to the Executive Producer, the postholder will provide clear financial insight, maintain strong governance and oversee processes that support confident decision making. Working closely with departmental leads, the role will enhance financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, while also supporting HR, compliance, risk management and digital and operational systems. The postholder will additionally support customer-facing teams to improve commercial performance and strengthen income generation across the café bar.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Significant senior finance leadership experience.
- Proven experience in financial planning, forecasting, modelling and supporting strategic decision making.
- Demonstrable entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of identifying opportunities, driving improvement and creating value within a complex environment.
- Experience leading HR, governance and compliance functions.
- Proven experience providing commercially grounded insight across varied revenue streams to support sustainable commercial performance.
- Experience managing and developing finance teams to build capability and strengthen organisational resilience.
