Due to continued growth in our manufacturing and automotive practice, we’re looking for an exceptional Cost Value Engineering Manager to lead high-impact client engagements and drive measurable cost optimisation.
What you’ll do:
- Lead complex cost value engineering and transformation projects for FTSE 100–level clients.
- Build sophisticated should-cost models using engineering drawings and benchmarking tools.
- Challenge suppliers and unlock savings through data-driven negotiation.
- Manage teams and work streams to deliver results on time and to the highest standard.
- Influence senior stakeholders, including Board-level executives.
- Drive change management initiatives and embed cost optimisation practices.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing and prospective clients.
What you’ll bring:
- A strong track record delivering major cost reduction, procurement or efficiency improvement programmes in manufacturing or automotive.
- Ability to build detailed should-cost models across castings, forgings, fabrications, machining, assembly and more.
- Outstanding analytical, communication and presentation skills.
- Experience leading high-performing teams and managing complex stakeholder environments.
- Commercial acumen and a drive to develop client relationships.
- Consulting management experience or leadership experience delivering major cost-reduction programmes in a blue-chip organisation.
