We are recruiting an Associate Director to lead our Healthcare Estates category management offering as part of Clarity Consulting. Clarity Consulting is part of FourCentric, a specialist health and care consultancy driven by integrity, quality and empathy. The Clarity team works with clients to deliver sustainable, high-impact change across a challenging and fast-moving sector.
The Role
As Associate Director - Healthcare Estates you will lead category management activity across estates, facilities and capital-related spend for NHS trusts and other health providers. You will define category strategies, lead sourcing and supplier relationships, and work with operational and finance stakeholders to embed sustainable commercial ways of working. The role combines client delivery, team leadership and commercial growth responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex healthcare estates projects, programmes and strategic client engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery and value-based outcomes.
- Work with clients to shape models of care, estate strategies and business cases aligned to service, workforce and organisational goals.
- Provide leadership across delivery, governance, risk and quality assurance, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and specialist input.
- Build strong client relationships and contribute to business growth through opportunity identification, proposal development and account expansion.
- Lead, coach and develop colleagues and client teams, modelling Clarity’s values and supporting strong team performance.
About You
To succeed in this role you should be able to demonstrate the following:
- Experience developing healthcare estate strategies aligned to service models, population need and long-term organisational goals.
- Knowledge of healthcare estates policy, guidance and HM Treasury Green Book business case development.
- Proven track record of leading complex change, projects and programmes within health and care settings.
- Stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, advise and build credibility with senior clients.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop practical, evidence-based solutions to complex estate challenges.
- Experience leading teams, managing delivery and supporting the development of others.
