We’re looking for a Skilled Shift Fitter based at our Worksop depot to help look after the engineering requirements of our fleet of vehicles. Our customers rely on our services to get them to work, to the high street, to hospitals, to days away and nights out – and as part of our engineering team, you'll be a key part in making sure our vehicles are in top condition to do just that.
You’ll work within a team that is responsible for maintaining all our fleet vehicles for Worksop, covering SCANIA, ADL, MAN and Volvo. Your role will have responsibility for the routine inspection and maintenance of company vehicles to the strict standards set by both Stagecoach and the DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency), and will include the diagnosis and rectification of vehicle faults with a first time fix policy. You will also be required to recognise and report vehicle component defects or symptoms, which are likely to affect the reliability and safety of the vehicle.
High motivation and flexible approach to work. Methodical approach to fault rectification through your own initiative. Team player with strong communication skills. Maintaining the existing high standards and looking to make improvements wherever possible.
Qualifications:
- PCV or HGV City & Guilds
- BTEC NVQ Level 3 Engineering in HGV or PSV
Shift pattern: a variety of shifts on a 5 days out of 7 basis.
