Stagecoach is hiring bus drivers at the Rawmarsh depot. No experience is required – we provide fully paid training to obtain a PCV licence and a Level 2 Bus Driver Apprenticeship.

Remuneration

  • Training pay: £14.00 per hour (rising to £15.00 after one year). Training lasts 6–8 weeks.
  • After completion: base salary £28,663 (≈£30,000 after one year). Hourly rate remains £14.00 rising to £15.00.

Responsibilities

  • Complete training and secure PCV licence
  • Drive the fleet safely, smoothly and confidently
  • Provide excellent customer service to all passengers
  • Create a welcoming environment, especially for vulnerable or valued passengers
  • Work flexible shifts – early, middle, late, evenings and weekends

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Age 18 or older
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than six penalty points
  • Right to work in the UK (183 days residency requirement or equivalent)
  • Positive, friendly attitude and passion for customer service
  • Willingness to learn and work as part of a team

Working Environment

The Rawmarsh depot operates a fleet of 53 buses covering Rotherham, Sheffield, Barnsley and Doncaster with a team of 136 drivers.
