The role of Retail Senior Sales Associate is pivotal in supporting the leadership team in delivering a best-in-class flagship retail experience. Acting as a key holder and floor leader, you will drive commercial performance, lead by example on the shop floor, and ensure the highest standards of customer experience, visual presentation, and team engagement.
As a brand ambassador, you will bring the 47 culture to life through storytelling, product expertise, and an elevated service approach, supporting key launches, events and high-profile trading periods. You will play a critical role in driving sales, developing team capability, executing operational excellence and supporting the management team in achieving store profitability and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities- Lead the sales floor, acting as a role model for exceptional customer service, product knowledge and brand storytelling.
- Drive individual and team sales performance, consistently meeting and exceeding KPIs including Sales, Conversion, ATV, UPT and Sales Per Hour.
- Take responsibility for opening and closing the store, ensuring all procedures are followed to the highest standard.
- Support the management team in creating a high performing, engaged and motivated team environment.
- Coach and develop Retail Sales Associates through real-time feedback, product knowledge sharing and on-floor training.
- Support succession planning by identifying and developing talent within the store team.
- Deliver an elevated flagship experience, ensuring every customer interaction reflects 47 culture.
- Support the execution of product launches, campaigns, and in-store activations to flagship standards.
- Maintain exceptional visual merchandising standards in line with brand guidelines.
- Monitor trading performance and provide insightful feedback through daily, weekly, and event-based reporting.
- Support omnichannel initiatives including Click & Collect, Endless Aisle and digital customer engagement where applicable.
- Handle customer queries, complaints and returns effectively, ensuring positive outcomes and brand loyalty.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, including health & safety, security, and operational procedures.
- Oversee stock processes, including deliveries, replenishment, transfers, and cycle counts, ensuring accuracy and availability.
- Proven experience in a fast-paced retail environment with previous supervisory or floor management responsibility.
- Strong understanding of flagship or high-profile retail environments and customer expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a team.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to analyse performance and act on insights.
- Excellent customer service and sales leadership skills.
- Strong knowledge of the 47 brand, product, and consumer.
- Experience with retail systems, POS, and operational processes.
- High standards of visual merchandising and stock management.
- Ability to build strong customer relationships and drive repeat business.
- Confident decision-maker capable of resolving issues in the absence of management.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Values diversity and contributes to an inclusive team culture.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to safely move, replenish and merchandise stock.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move merchandise in accordance with company guidelines.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics required.
- Further education qualification (A-Level, BTEC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) desirable.
- Retail, Business, Management, Customer Service, Fashion or Sports-related studies advantageous.
- Leadership, coaching or supervisory training desirable.
- Commitment to continuous learning and development through company training programmes.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in retail, preferably within a premium, flagship or high-volume environment.
- Previous experience supervising, coaching or leading retail colleagues.
- Demonstrable success in achieving sales targets and driving KPI performance.
- Experience handling customer escalations and resolving issues effectively.
- Experience supporting visual merchandising and operational execution.
