Salary: Guaranteed minimum take home of £15 per hour, 42.5 hours per week. Paid weekly. Work is issued on a schedule of rates (SOR) allowing for great earning potential.
Company: The company is a property maintenance and installation organisation, specialising in the servicing, repair and installation of gas central heating and hot water services to local authorities and Housing Association landlords. It is a well-established Gas Contractor operating across London and surrounding areas with an unrivalled reputation within the building services sector which includes Gas, M&E and HVAC maintenance, repair and installation work.
Role: As part of a heating maintenance team, the post holder will be expected to provide comprehensive management of communal water distribution systems in dwellings. Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining water distribution services in line with HSE ACoP L8 & HSG274 Regulations in client-owned properties.
- Scheduled servicing, carrying out water temperature and quality checks, CWST and calorifier cleaning, thermal disinfection and chlorination.
- Management of water sampling, laboratory test results, remedial repairs and client records, along with surveys to advise on further reductions of risk.
- Excellent communication with customers to ensure they are kept informed.
- Willingness to work as part of a team or individually to ensure works are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Willingness to work on call out as part of a team rota.
- Managing van stock correctly ensuring relevant paperwork is submitted to replenish stock, ensuring first time fix where possible.
- Ensuring mobile PDA device is used correctly at all times and faults reported quickly to your supervisor/manager.
