Co-op Wholesale is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Contract Manager to help shape what comes next. In this role, you’ll take end-to-end ownership of drafting and negotiating business customer sales contracts with our wholesale partners, managing the process through to signature and contract storage. You’ll be a trusted partner to our sales and finance teams, working closely with them to ensure our contracts accurately reflect commercially approved positions.

As a Senior Contract Manager reporting to the Head of Business Management, Governance & Risk, you’ll work on a wide range of contracts, from independent retailers to large organisations, to really push ourselves forward and take our business to the next level.
What you’ll do
- Draft sales contracts that reflect commercially approved positions and meet our governance standards.
- Manage the end-to-end contract management process, including negotiating and amending contract clauses, managing signatures, contract templates and contract administration.
- Build strong relationships with our internal teams and customers to move contract discussions forward.
- Collaborate with our sales, propositions, finance, legal, and operations colleagues to make sure contracts support our wider goals.
- Spot and manage contract risks, and lead on resolving disputes or compliance issues.
- Help to improve our contract management process, shaping templates, terms, and ways of working.
What you’ll bring
- Significant experience as a Senior Contract Manager in a business sales environment.
- Strong experience drafting and amending customer contracts, negotiating positions and amending contract clauses, with minimal need for legal support.
- Strong experience of working with internal teams to gain commercial clarity, spotting potential risks and offering solutions.
- Confident advising the business and able to constructively challenge and influence when needed.
- Collaborative leadership skills with a focus on efficiency, effectiveness and transparency.
- Comfortability with working with evolving processes and ways of working.
- A proactive approach to identifying and exploring continuous improvement opportunities.
