Overview
We are seeking a Senior Operator to join our team in Boston.
The selected candidate will work with an experienced team to cover all aspects of manufacturing timber, sheeted, and MDF products across specialized production lines.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain high‑tech specialized machinery such as bandsaws, planers, in‑line cross‑cutting equipment, and automated/manual machines while meeting safety and quality standards.
- Account for materials in/out using operating systems and operate moving equipment such as front lifts and side lifting MHEs.
- Perform daily safety checks, risk assessments, audits, and record findings to the appropriate leadership channels.
- Ensure production meets quality standards, rectifying issues and completing documentation control and task checks in line with SOPs.
- Operate barcode and label application machines, and manage material flow to and from production lines and distribution warehouses.
- Manufacture products in accordance with CAD drawings to meet company and customer requirements.
- Monitor and seek to improve performance metrics (S, Q, A, P, OEE), minimize downtime, and support the engineering team when necessary.

- Understanding of health and safety knowledge and the ability to apply safety culture.
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and hardworking attitude with flexibility to undertake alternative tasks during downtimes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong IT skills and confidence using technology.
- Problem‑solving ability and willingness to propose useful solutions to improve performance and reduce downtime.
- Ability to read and interpret site metrics (S, Q, A, P, OEE) and follow a running plan.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement practices.
