We’re looking for a passionate and strategic Social Values Manager to lead the development and delivery of social value initiatives across Stagecoach operations in the Liverpool City Region. Working closely with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our services deliver measurable benefits to the communities we serve, supporting inclusion, sustainability, accessibility, and economic growth. This is a unique opportunity to combine purpose with delivery, embedding social value into how public transport supports local people every day. As part of your development, you’ll also complete a Level 4 Social Value Apprenticeship, equipping you with industry recognised expertise to lead and embed best practice across the organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Shape and deliver the social value strategy, aligned with Stagecoach objectives and Combined Authority priorities
  • Develop and manage programmes that deliver positive outcomes across communities (e.g. accessibility, skills, inclusion, sustainability)
  • Build strong partnerships with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and key local stakeholders
  • Measure and report impact, ensuring social value outcomes are clear, credible and data‑led
  • Embed social value into operations, influencing decision‑making across the business
  • Lead engagement initiatives with community groups, partners and local organisations
  • Identify funding opportunities and maximise investment into community‑focused initiatives
  • Champion best practice, ensuring Stagecoach is recognised as a leader in social value delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in social value, ESG, community engagement or public sector partnerships
  • Strong understanding of social value frameworks, measurement and reporting
  • Experience working with local authorities, combined authorities or public sector bodies
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Ability to translate strategy into tangible, community‑focused outcomes
  • Strong project or programme management capability
  • Knowledge of the Liverpool City Region landscape and priorities
  • Familiarity with procurement‑linked social value requirements
  • Passion for sustainability, inclusion, and community impact
