As a Creative Strategist / Copywriter, you will own the "Thinking Function" of our creative department. You will serve as the bridge between User Acquisition (Data), Creative Production (Execution), and Product to bridge the gap between high-level brand strategy and the granular reality of user acquisition. Your goal is to ensure every ad is rooted in data, analysis, and strategy. You will fuel our high-velocity testing engine with high-quality, researched, and structured concepts. You will work in a creative pair alongside Motion Designers and Video Editors, translating dry user insights into scroll-stopping hooks and scripts that drive massive scale.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Briefing & Ideation: Own the concepting process, writing detailed briefs that define the angle, tension, hook, and script before production begins.
- Competitive Intelligence: Conduct continuous competitive monitoring and user insight mining using tools like AdHeart, BrandWatch, and Sensor Tower. Monitor competitors' active funnels, dissect their scaling offers, and identify opportunities to counter-position our products.
- Performance Analysis: Partner with the UA team to analyse creative performance, deconstructing why ads win or lose and feeding those learnings back into the production loop.
- Direct Response Copywriting: Craft compelling narratives and scripts designed to hook users instantly, adapting messaging for different market development phases.
- Creative Collaboration: Collaborate closely with editors to ensure the creative output matches your strategic intent.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in creative strategy, copywriting, or performance marketing (preferably for mobile apps or SaaS) with at least 3+ years of experience.
- Understanding of marketing fundamentals, familiar with concepts of competitive advantage, immutable laws of positioning, and market maturity.
- Proficiency with ad intelligence tools, capable of reverse-engineering a competitor's funnel to understand their strategy.
- AI Native, using AI tools to accelerate research, scripting, and concepting workflows.
