What you’ll be doing

Join Avon and help bring innovative, safe, and high-quality products to millions of customers around the world. As a Toxicologist II, you’ll play a key role in assessing product safety, supporting new product launches, and contributing to the development of cosmetics and personal care products that meet the highest safety standards. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate the safety of new and existing products across skincare, sunscreen, fragrance, and other product categories. Working within our Toxicology & Clinical Safety team, you’ll conduct scientific research, review safety data, prepare technical documentation, and provide safety recommendations to support product development and launches. You’ll also collaborate with regulatory colleagues to ensure products meet regional requirements and industry standards while helping maintain Avon’s existing product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

  • Conducting product safety and risk assessments for new and existing products
  • Reviewing scientific literature and safety data to support product development decisions
  • Preparing safety dossiers, reports, and supporting documentation for product approvals
  • Partnering with global regulatory teams to understand and apply regional safety requirements
  • Assessing toxicology and clinical testing needs for products in development
  • Supporting product launches by delivering timely and scientifically sound safety recommendations
  • Contributing to special safety projects and industry-related initiatives
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams across R&D, Regulatory, and Product Development

What we’re looking for

  • Master’s degree in Toxicology, Biological Sciences, or a related scientific field
  • 3-5 years experience in product safety, toxicology, regulatory affairs, clinical studies, R&D, or a related function
  • Strong scientific research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience preparing technical reports, safety dossiers, or scientific documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of statistics is an advantage
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to build effective relationships across teams
  • Flexibility and adaptability when managing changing priorities and project timelines
