Lead the Controllership Global organization to support the organization's strategy, growth, and operational excellence. Responsibilities focus on designing and implementing complex, high‐risk accounting transactions and processes worldwide, ensuring proper integration of US GAAP, IFRS, and local GAAP accounting and finance business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Integration Strategy & Planning – Lead development of the integration strategy aligned with the deal model and accretion plan, translate strategic objectives into detailed integration roadmaps (including milestones, deliverables, and KPIs), and establish robust governance structures and decision‐making frameworks with clear escalation paths.
- Design Standard Playbooks – Create playbooks for non‐standard transactions such as acquisitions, mergers, and country expansions.
- Operational Excellence & Insights – Define and implement KPIs in coordination with Global Process Owners to monitor performance, enhance visibility on operational effectiveness for leadership, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- AI & Automation Enablement – Identify and deploy high‐impact AI/agent use cases to scale automated, data‐driven operations across Controllership.
- Global Controllership Alignment – Serve as a central integration point to align initiatives across GPOs, cross‐functional partners, and technology teams.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Facilitate alignment across diverse groups (Tax, Treasury, Legal, M&A) to ensure Controllership initiatives consider the full financial picture and regulatory landscape.
- Strategic Decision Support – Lead key strategic projects, identify decision bottlenecks, and present clear facts to stakeholders to facilitate resolution.
- Technology & Business Liaison – Bridge the Accounting function and the Digital Enterprise Transformation team, articulating business facts, defining requirements, and supporting critical design decisions.
- Executive Communication & Storytelling – Transform complex project updates and accounting data into clear, compelling narratives; create executive‐level decks and communicate progress effectively.
- Accounting Operations – Support international accounting operations on complex transactions, including local compliance obligations and M&A activities.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in an International accounting environment, with 5+ years in a relevant leadership role.
- Expertise in US GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory requirements.
- Robust experience with SOX audit framework.
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent work experience) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related subject area.
- Project management certification is a plus.
- Ability to drive work independently, identifying solutions, moving them to implementation, and developing long‐range strategies.
- Track record of working successfully in a matrix environment.
- Strong partnership skills – partner with existing process leaders and stakeholders to build consensus without direct authority.
- Team player, self‐starter, results‐oriented with a 'can‐do' attitude and a hands‐on approach.
- Experience working with virtual, global, and cross‐functional teams.
- Excellent time‐management – multitask, work efficiently under tight deadlines, and proactively track and report progress.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to create executive‐level decks and articulate complex ideas simply and concisely.
